Angelika is the founder and sole consultant at Proof & Polish. A first-generation college student, UCLA graduate, and attorney with a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, she understands how much it can mean to have someone in your corner while navigating an unfamiliar process.

Why the practice exists
Her love of storytelling and writing, together with years of mentoring students, led her to create Proof & Polish.
She believes applicants need more than edits on a page. They need someone who will listen, help them recognize the value of their experiences, and guide them through the decisions that come with telling their story.
What she brings to it
Angelika’s greatest strength is connecting with students and drawing out what makes each person’s perspective their own. She helps clients find a clear direction, organize their ideas, and express themselves with confidence.
She also serves as a thoughtful resource throughout the writing process, offering candid feedback and encouragement when they need it.
Grounded in integrity
Her approach is grounded in integrity. Angelika does not ghostwrite or impose a story that does not belong to the client.
Their ideas, experiences, and voice remain their own. Her role is to help them communicate those things in their strongest, clearest form. The Academic Integrity Policy puts that position in writing.

Based in Los Angeles, Angelika works with clients locally and virtually on college, law school, and graduate applications, as well as résumés, CVs, and supporting materials.
